Escher anyone?

Enchanted by the works of M.C. Escher today.  Of course, he's most famous for his mind bending stair cases.

They inspired one of the climactic scenes in the movie Labyrinth

But Escher dreamed up much more than staircases.  He also created paradoxical buildings and structures.

And lovely, hypnotic geometric patterns

And also things that aren't necessarily mathematically based... just fascinating.

Just really neat stuff.  I could look at some of his works forever.
